Whereas, after consultation with the leader of every recognized party in the Senate and the House of Commons, by resolution of the Senate dated October 29, 2024, and resolution of the House of Commons dated November 7, 2024, the Senate and House of Commons have approved the reappointment of Nancy Bélanger as Commissioner of Lobbying;
Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under subsections 4.1(1), 4.1(2), 4.1(3) and 4.2(3) of the Lobbying Act, advises that a Commission do issue under the Great Seal reappointing Nancy Bélanger of Ottawa, Ontario, as Commissioner of Lobbying, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of seven years, and fixes her remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($254,000 - $297,800), effective December 30, 2024.
Attendu que, après consultation du chef de chacun des partis reconnus au Sénat et à la Chambre des communes, en vertu d’une résolution prise par le Sénat en date du 29 octobre 2024 et d’une résolution prise par la Chambre des communes en date du 7 novembre 2024, le Sénat et la Chambre des communes ont approuvé le renouvellement du mandat de Nancy Bélanger à titre de commissaire au lobbying,
À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre, en vertu des paragraphes 4.1(1), 4.1(2), 4.1(3) et 4.2(3) de la Loi sur le lobbying, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande de renouveler le mandat, par commission sous le grand sceau, de Nancy Bélanger, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire au lobbying, à titre inamovible pour une période de sept ans, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (254 000 $ – 297 800 $), à compter du 30 décembre 2024.
