Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, amends the schedule to Order in Council P.C. 2007-828 of May 24, 2007, as amended by Orders in Council P.C. 2007-1117 of June 29, 2007, P.C. 2011-33 of February 1, 2011 and P.C. 2020-703 of September 30, 2020, by replacing section 2 with the following: 

2. The Ombudsperson is to be appointed by the Governor in Council for a term not exceeding five years, which term may be renewed, and may only be removed for cause by the Governor in Council.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil remplace l’article 2 de l’annexe du décret C.P. 2007-828 du 24 mai 2007, tel qu’il a été modifié par les décrets C.P. 2007-1117 du 29 juin 2007, C.P. 2011-33 du 1^er février 2011 et C.P. 2020-703 du 30 septembre 2020, par ce qui suit :

2. L’ombudsman est nommé par le gouverneur en conseil pour un mandat d’une période maximale de cinq ans, lequel mandat est renouvelable, sauf révocation motivée de la part du gouverneur en conseil.
